A Perfect Morning - Day 28

We awake this morning about 8:00a.m. feeling remarkably refreshed after our somewhat disturbed sleep.  Do the French sleep on Friday nights?  We read and watched tv a little after some guy shouting in the street woke us up about 5 but we managed a few more hours and ventured out for a Cafe Americano and a croissant.

Pictures are a must in our little 27 room Hotel St. Jacques.  Check out the stairwell and accompanying artworks on display:
Stairwell down.

Stairwell up!

The Toulouse Lautrec Bar with Tromp 'loeil!
We ventured back into the Latin quarter, which New Orleans looks remarkably like, and found our coffee.  While we wandered back towards the hotel, we came upon a Saturday morning market.  FABULOUS!

Flower stalls.

Fresh meats.

Check out these tomatoes!

Shellfish...

And seafood.

Dried fruits.

Sausages and salami

The Pantheon just above our hotel.

Oh that's attractive!  This is bad.  I'm holding a baguette while eating a baguette with smoked salmon!  Dear God, why are my clothes shrinking?

We nip back to the hotel to leave our purchases.  Gordon watches the rugby on TV while I load these pics and say Bonjour to you!

Now THIS is a blogspot!

My view from my computer.
More later!  We are headed out to the the cars rouges (the red double-decker tour bus!)  Thank you Paris Pass!
