Tallinn

We sailed away last night and arrived in Tallinn, Estonia today…Jill and Gordon feeling better and me just starting their cold!!!!!  Seems there are a lot of people on the ship who have gotten a cold.

Alcohol?

Fall is happening here!

Back to the ship on a cold and rainy day.

It was rainy and cold today arriving in Tallinn, home of the invention of Skype!   We went in via shuttle bus to the old medieval town and had a poke around.  It is very quaint and the people quiet friendly.  We poked through tourist shops and walked cobbled streets and sat in the ancient square.  It was a good people-watching day.  We found a cute outdoor covered café, the Old Estonia, and sat on lambskins with warm blankets over us and ordered coffees and the local liqueur, which made Jill and I very warm and happy and Gordon had the local beer Saku.  Unfortunately it started pouring rain and we waited the weather out until we could mad-dash it to the shuttle bus and the safety of our warm cozy room.

After dinner we watched a Russian become American pianist and then snuggled into our beds to await our next port-of-call, Riga, Latvia.  That's where we are currently and fortunately I've been writing and now I'll just copy and paste and add pictures to send off a few Blogs.  It's a beautiful day here today and we are enjoying a coffee and internet connection.

We are off to the Central Market here in Riga, being called the Pearl of the Baltic, and then we are headed to Old Town.
